Why is KBS Immortal Songs Concert Disappointing Fans?

The KBS Immortal Songs concert held in the United States disappointed fans as they faced problems from the start of the concert. Having mentioned sound check performances in the perk section, ATEEZ only performed one song due to limited time, which is normally 3-4 songs in other concerts. The KBS Immortal Songs concert was announced in the summer of 2023 with a tempting lineup of artists performing at the event.

The list included major names such as ATEEZ, NewJeans, and PSY, along with other performances by Lena Park, Kim Taewoo, YOUNGTAK, Jannabi, and Patti Kim. However, the event to be held at Met Life Stadium in New York was called off, probably due to low ticket sales, and management rethought the idea, like ATEEZ to gotta work it out.

Low Sales Compelled to Change the Venue

Plagued with the problem of low ticket sales, which is not uncommon in the events business. The management decided to change the venue to Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, and released a new lineup for the infamous event. The lineup change shocked fans as NewJeans was no longer performing at the event, and fans criticised Studio PAV for poor management and constant cancellation of the KBS Immortal Songs concert.

With the departure of NewJeans from the concert lineup, fans were worried whether other performers would also cancel their appearance at the concert. Fans were also frustrated due to changing their ticket and taking part in another round of ticket sales as part of the KBS Immortal Songs concert. These were only the little problems as people faced major ones during the live concert.

Problems Faced by Fans at KBS Immortal Songs Concert

Fans who attended the KBS Immortal Songs concert reported that ATEEZ only performed one song during the sound check activity. They faced technical issues throughout the live concert, with problems with screen projection and issues with stage set-ups, and sound. Another issue was related to timing, though the live concert was scheduled to conclude at 11 PM, but unnecessary wastage of time delayed the concert till 11:44 PM. By that time, ATEEZ’s performance was yet to be completed, and there were no signs of PSY.

At the end, PSY concluded the KBS Immortal Songs live concert at 11:40 PM. After all these mishaps, management added the send-offs to the P1 VIP benefits. The send-offs occur at the main stage, creating a safety concern for the idols and the people attending the concert. Normally, the send-offs are supposed to be in a smaller area to help fans get a glimpse of their favourite K-pop idol. Fans enjoyed the performance from all the individual artists and K-pop groups that performed at the KBS Immortal Songs concert, but were disappointed with the poor management of the live concert and organising agency, that is, Studio PAV.
